It all started when...

Billie was working as an office assistant when Rob started with Triple 'A' Lawn Care here in Pocatello in 1994. Rob began working on the mowing crew learning the skills necessary to provide the customer with quality lawn care. In the Fall of that same year, Billie decided to accept Robs invitation to go on a date, probably because they were going to a concert for a popular country musician playing at the State Fair that year. Those who know Rob, know that he doesn't care for country music but that he will do what is needed to get the job done right! Billie and Rob were married the next Spring.

In 1996, Rob received his Professional Applicators License and began spraying for Triple A where he learned about controlling weeds and unwanted insect pests that could damage plants or even be harmful to people. Rob ran the "tree truck" until 1999 when Triple A was downsized and the majority of the business was sold. The next spring Rob's Lawn Service was started and Rob began doing lawn care part-time which he did for the next several years.

It was in 2004 when Rob went back to the spraying business full-time when he began working for the Bannock County Noxious Weed Department. Because this was not just limited to urban landscapes, this opened up a whole new world of invasive species and methods of controlling them. Rob became the Senior Weed Control Operator for Bannock County in 2005 running crews of up to 4 employees.

The opportunity came in 2007 for Rob to purchase L&M Maintenance, Inc with his father Sheldon Olson. This was the downsized version of Triple A Lawn Care. They renamed the business to 'Double O Lawn Care' and Rob and Sheldon began growing the business again. Rob separated from Bannock County in 2008 to work the business full-time. In 2009, Sheldon retired from lawn care and Rob and Billie became the sole owners of Double O.
